Chapter 287: Caged Heat

A pair of sapphire eyes opened slowly.

“Sesshou…maru-sama?” Kagome breathed, confused to find the inu-youkai leaning over her. His silky hair brushed against her cheek. “What…?”

He turned her head and nuzzled the underside of her jaw. “Be still,” he ordered, pulling back to gaze into her face. “You are making it difficult for this one to rest.”

“I’m…” She covered her mouth as she yawned. “Sorry. It’s just so…hot.”

Sesshoumaru took in her flushed skin, lingering on the mark he’d left on her neck.

“Hn.” Tossing their blanket to the side, he curled around her. “Sleep.”
