Chapter 280: Near

“May I go now? Or, do I have to suffer through more of your attentions?”

Sesshoumaru noiselessly sunk into the pool waist-deep, peering at Kagome from the corner of his eye. Her back was turned, respecting his privacy. A claw-tipped hand purposely splashed the water, and when she peeked at him, he beckoned her forward.

Once she reached the bath, she gasped when he held her hips and lowered her into the water. While she sat at the edge, her legs were submerged beside him.

His eyes never left hers as he directed her hands to his gleaming hair.
