“Relax, miko,” Sesshoumaru murmured, voice low. “This one will assist you.”

Kagome’s arms squeezed tighter around her chest. “Why?” she breathed. “I can ask Satomi-sama to help me. She’s done it the last few times.”

Sesshoumaru didn’t answer right away.

He didn’t think the elusive Lady Mother would have ever lowered herself to do something as trivial as see to the comfort of a human female. But then, he had missed the last couple of months.

The proud male could freely admit that there was still much in the world he did not know. His mother was no exception.
