Chapter 264: Strain

Kagome smiled. “That’s good to hear. I’m glad she’s no longer a tool.” The priestess raised her brows when Sesshoumaru snorted. She had no idea that he threatened the girl and almost used her as bait. “Kanna helped me before she died.”

An uncomfortable feeling formed in his chest at her admission. “Hn.”

“So, where do we go from here? One doesn’t just pull a psycho out of Hell for no reason. Actually, nobody does that,” she muttered to herself. “But you do have a good one, right? `Cause I’m really tempted to go over there and kick him.”
