A/N: Wasn’t gonna update since I’ve been busy writing lots, but here’s a teaser anyway. ;)

Chapter 256: Feeling

Kagome brought up her hand and gripped her haori, right over her heart. Frozen in place as she sat beside Ah-Un on the veranda to her room, she ignored the dragon’s nudges to her head and cheeks. They rumbled softly at her in worry.

“Kagome-sama?” Kazuya asked, appearing at her side. The guard’s stance was rigid and alert, and his fingers inched toward his wakizashi.

“Don’t you feel that?” she murmured, rising to her feet. For some reason, excitement rushed through her veins.

Her heart beat once. Twice… Three times fast.

Then, she gasped in joy. “He’s back!”
