“Why do you linger, Chichi-ue?”

Though the question was nonchalant in its tone, Touga could discern his son’s genuine…interest in his response. Since Sesshoumaru was so peculiar with the subject of his curiosity, he would humor him for the time being.

“I am needed,” was his simple answer. “Someone had to keep an eye on Sou’unga when it dropped back here.”

There was a crease between Sesshoumaru’s brows. “It is still active?”

“Hm? Not at the moment. No,” Touga said. “I was making my rounds when I sensed Kanna’s distress. You know the rest of that story.”
