Sesshoumaru’s silence was telling.

Satisfied with his reaction, Touga grinned but didn’t gloat about his recent victory. It wouldn’t be good for both parties if his son was riled up again. He might actually destroy something the next time.

“Sesshoumaru,” Touga began slowly, delicately. “I never claimed to know all that has passed in the living realm. While it is true that Kanna has told me of her part in the quest for the Shikon, it is not everything. We don’t know what has transpired since her death. I…do not know the ones you hold close to your heart.”
