Chapter 221: Examination

The abrupt surge of possessiveness had Sesshoumaru scrambling for the reason behind his startlingly violent reaction. Though he was acutely aware of his father’s deceased state, he had nevertheless felt angered by the male’s interest in the miko. The overwhelming need to ensure her protection rushed to the forefront of his mind, regardless of Touga’s honest intentions.

The fickle nature of his developing emotions was concerning. Despite his earlier threat, Sesshoumaru hadn’t seriously wanted to draw him into a senseless fight. That was more within Inuyasha’s area of expertise.

It was only fortunate that he wasn’t there to do so.
