Chapter 216: Tension

Sesshoumaru inspected his claws with a bored expression, eyes brightening at the sight of the green glow that coated his fingertips. The light emanating from his Dokkasou was a bit subdued and fainter than usual, but was to be expected, given the darkness that surrounded them.

Touga gazed at him warily. “And what exactly are you planning to do with that?” He scowled when Sesshoumaru gave a one-shouldered shrug.

“This…female,” the term left a bitter taste in his mouth, “She is a means to an end.”

“Kanna?” In her shock, the child shifted back into her original form.
