Chapter 210: Conflict

The fires of Sesshoumaru’s frustration burned hotly and warmed his blood. His fingers tensed around the hilt of the Tenseiga, his skin stretched tight over his knuckles. The only reason he stayed his hand was because Kanna had changed forms yet again and had adopted the body of a familiar, sapphire-eyed woman.

He didn’t know if it was due to foolishness or the terror that gripped his heart at the thought of harming her, but he couldn’t strike her down. Mind and body warred, his instincts demanding action.

He hesitated.

Kagome’s borrowed pools of blue were enough to drown in.
