Chapter 198: Ward

“If you have calmed yourself, little miko, we have arrived.”

Kagome eyed the door to Sesshoumaru’s room, surprised by the familiar energy saturating the shoji screen.

“Will it let me through?” she asked.

“It should,” Satomi murmured. “Have you been in contact with his youki before?”

“Erm… Sort of.”

The Lady Mother’s eyes gleamed. “Then, off you go! Good night, Kago-chan!”

“Wait!” The dark-haired woman barely caught the end of Satomi’s sleeve. “It won’t hurt me or anything, right?”

Satomi leaned in close. “Do you trust my son?”

Kagome didn’t hesitate. “Yes.”

“Then proceed.”
