Chapter 197: The Love of a Child

Kagome hadn’t been thinking when she had hugged her alpha’s mother, but she couldn’t have possibly helped herself even if she’d tried. The fact that Satomi had recognized her place in the pack was tantamount to the daiyoukai’s acceptance of her in Sesshoumaru’s life. And that act alone had spoken volumes.

The miko would be going out on a limb to suggest such a thing, but it didn’t make her assumption any less true: Satomi was lonely.

Sesshoumaru, until very recently, wasn’t one to offer his affections to anyone, his mother included.

So, in his place, Kagome would give hers.
