Country Girl

Shake It for Me

A/N: This is a songfic based on the song “Country Girl (Shake It for Me)” by Luke Bryan (LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I do not own either the song or INUYASHA…

Sesshoumaru Takaherashi ignored his younger brother Inuyasha as he drove down the winding dirt road in their Georgia hometown. Apparently someone was having a party in the woods, and Inuyasha wanted to go because the girl he’d been crushing on for about three weeks, Kikyo Higurashi was gonna be there. The siblings looked alike but that was where all similarities differed. Inuyasha was known to be rude, abrasive, and crude, and he was a lot rougher than his older sibling. Sesshoumaru was cold, ruthless, and above all startlingly handsome, almost to the point of being pretty. He’d defended both his face and his masculinity with words and fights, and was known to be pretty tough to beat in any kind of fight. Sesshoumaru was going to this party so Inuyasha wouldn’t get drunk and then attempt to drive him home and crash his third or was it fourth car in the ditch. He was also going, because he heard that the younger Higurashi girl, the one who had left home almost two years ago to become a professional dancer was going to be there, and he wanted to talk to someone about a dance teacher for his favorite cousin.

When they got to the clearing,  a few of the locals, like the Miroku Oniishi, whose father owned the only religious bookstore in town, and was a practicing Catholic priest, and Sango Hitachi, whose family owned the karate studio on main street, were already there. Sango told Sesshoumaru that she hadn’t seen Kagome yet, and that she’d tell her he was looking for her when she did. Miroku and Inuyasha went off to find the keg and Kikyo Higurashi in that order. Sesshoumaru left his keys in the ignition to the truck and the radio playing, loudly enough to give some type of musical vibe to the party. He spotted Sango talking to a curvy little brunette in a pair of fitted jeans, and flat knee high boots, and a simple white camisole top covered in a dark blue sweater.

Kouga Minamoto, whose father was rumored to be a drug dealer in the city, stood next to Sesshoumaru, eyeing the brunette.

“Damn, all that dancing did Higurashi good, well that and all those classes.” He sneered at his friend Hiten, whose girlfriend Kagura couldn’t stand the younger Higurashi.

Sesshoumaru interrupted their conversation.

“You see Kagome?”

Kouga and Hiten both stared at him for a minute, before pointing to the girl that Sango was talking to.

“Hell yeah,” Kouga said belligerently, “Saw the little princess in the grocery store earlier today and told her we could use some entertainment. Everyone knows she strips in LA.”

A feminine voice cut off Sesshoumaru sharp retort.

“I dance in music videos, and work as a bartender at a burlesque club, asshole. Anyways, before you stick your foot further in your mouth, remember that Kagura never even made it out of Nashville. Some talent she was posed to be.”

Kagome Higurashi turned her bright blue eyes onto Sesshoumaru.

“Hello, Sesshoumaru. Sango told me you were looking for me. Is something wrong with Rin?”

Sesshoumaru forgot she knew his cousin, and the main reason he’d come looking for her.

“Yes, I am looking for you, but Rin is fine. I will tell her you asked about her. May I have a minute of your time?”

Kagome shrugged.

“Sure.”

They wandered back over to Sesshoumaru truck, where a familiar melody could be heard.

“Rin has decided she wants to dance, and I was hoping you could recommend a teacher or a school for me so I could enroll her. She keeps saying the limbs lose flexibility.”

Kagome’s eyes shined with amusement. “Yes, I used to tell her that when she used to ask why I was always in class. But I will recommend a great teacher; Rin is a dancer in the making, not like me, but a classically trained ballet maybe.”

Sesshoumaru looked at her for a moment. “Not like you? I thought you were a dancer?”

Kagome smiled. “I am, but I dance more of a contemporary, urban thing. Mostly I do choreography for the club I work at; Rin has an innate grace that makes her perfect for ballet.”

Sesshoumaru nodded, when he realized the younger girl wore leggings, and not jeans like he’d originally thought, and the sweater was heavier than he’d imagined, and a bit more like a tunic really.

She noticed his perusal of her outfit.

“They’re my comfortable clothes. That way if I do feel like practicing, then I can move the way I need to.”

“If you are a professional, why so much practice?”

Kagome laughed. “Dancers are never considered professionals; we’re always someone’s student.”

Inuyasha and Miroku finally came lurching back over, and Inuyasha holding a pair of drumsticks.

“Hey, Sesshoumaru, Ayame asked us to play something.”

Sesshoumaru frowned but Kagome was smiling.  As he was about to rebuke Inuyasha for interrupting, she spoke.

“Oh, great! I can dance.”

Kouga, Hiten, and a couple of other guys had pushed some hay bales together in front of the platform that was already there, to create a makeshift stage. Kagome had taken off her sweater, dressed in the leggings and the overly long camisole and her boots, before she’d unbraided her long hair.

Sesshoumaru fiddled with the guitar he was holding and the microphone. Inuyasha tested some keys on his drums, while Miroku and their bassist, Shippo tuned their instruments. Kagome stretched lazily in one corner of the stage.

Everyone crowded around to watch their own local legends perform something; most of the guys were focused on Kagome’s complex stretching, while the females were watching Sesshoumaru run his hands through his short platinum blond strands. Inuyasha tapped a cymbal to get Sesshoumaru’s attention.

“What are we doing?”

“Let’s do a run through of the new one. We haven’t performed it live yet.”

“Straight, give me a minute.” He held up his drumsticks and tapped once. Everyone began to settle down.

“Ready?” he called to Sesshoumaru, Shippo nodded and Miroku winked at Kagome.

Inuyasha launched into playing, with Shippo picking up the bass line and Miroku poised to come in. Sesshoumaru started the song.

Got a little boom in my big truck

Gonna open up the doors and turn it up

Gonna stomp my feet in the Georgia mud

Gonna watch you make me fall in love...

Kagome smiled as she began to rock lightly from side to side. Swaying her hips in rhythm to the music, she executed a sharp twirl that gave Sesshoumaru a little confidence she knew what she was doing.

Get up on the hood of my daddy’s tractor

Up on the toolbox, it don’t matter

Down on the tailgate

Girl I can’t wait to watch you do your thing….

A sharp crack from Inuyasha’s drum signaled the chorus, and Kagome began a hip thrusting shimmy, and shake that almost made Sesshoumaru swallow his tongue.

Shake it for the young bucks sitting in the honky tonks

For the rednecks rocking til the break of dawn

The DJ spinning that country song

Come on, Come on, Come on

Shake it for the birds, Shake it for the bees

Shake it for the catfish swimming down deep in the creek

For the crickets and the critters and the squirrels

Shake it for the moon, Shake it for me girl….

Kagome strolled closer to the front of Sesshoumaru’s mike and smiled at him as she twirled her hair around for a minute, before she picked up the same mind boggling rhythm and winked at him. Whirling around, she slid into a quick split before she sprang up to run her hands suggestively across her torso and breasts, and then a quick hair toss before she sauntered off again to dance next to Shippo.

Country Girl, Shake it for me, girl

Shake it for me, girl

Shake it for me.

Country girl, Shake it for me, girl

Shake it for me, girl

Shake it for me.

 Somebody’s sweet little farmer’s child

With a gattle in her Bud to get a little wild

Pony-tail and a pretty smile

Rope me in from a country mile

So come on over here and get in my arms

Spin me around this big ole barn

Tangle me up like Grandma’s yarn

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah

Kagome swung around by Miroku with a flirtatious little hip toss and a wink as she shimmied to his frantic keyboard playing. Inuyasha was treated much the same way as she bent at the waist and rocked her hips against his heavy drum playing. She said something that made him laugh and then she turned back to Sesshoumaru with a sway in her step and a twirl of her hair.

Sesshoumaru was entranced at the light sheen of perspiration that coated her dewy skin. Kagome was a goddess when she danced, and she had obviously enjoyed dancing to their music. Twisting a hand as she swung her hips, she grinned saucily at him and turned herself into the side that was unoccupied by his guitar and rubbed against him like a kitten starving for attention. Swinging a wide eyed gaze over his shoulder at Inuyasha, who motioned to him to get ready for the breakdown, he turned back to the mike.

Shake it for the young bucks sitting in the honky tonks

For the rednecks rocking till the break of dawn

For the DJ spinning that country song,

Come on, Come on, Come on!

Shake it for the birds, Shake it for the bees

Shake it for the catfish swimming down deep in the creek

For the crickets and the critters and the squirrels

Shake it to the moon, Shake it for me girl

Country girl, Shake it for me

Shake it for me girl,

Shake it for me

Country girl, Shake it for me girl,

Shake it for me, girl

Shake it for me

GUITAR ya’ll.

************ (A/N: am I the only one who thinks I just made a huge epic error in making Sesshoumaru say YA’LL? >.> um well no? Back to the story) *************************

Kagome laughed breathlessly as she rubbed up against him again and swung her hips in quick circles and threw in some actually great hair twirls, and arm motions. Suddenly she twirled to the front of the stage, and with a sharp narrow eyed glare at Kouga, Hiten and their friends, she swung her hair and her hips in a complicated rhythm that Kagura, who mostly got her moves watching videos on TV, had no hope of attempting to mimic.

Inuyasha grinned as he slowed down his drumming for Sesshoumaru to swing his guitar around to his back and finish singing.

Now dance, like a dandelion

In the wind on the hill underneath the pines

Yeah move like the river flows

Feel the kick drum down deep in your toes

All I wanna do is get to holdin you

And get to knowin you

And get to showing you

And get to lovin you

For the night is through

Baby, you know what to do

Swinging back around to face Sesshoumaru, she stepped lively around his mike to stand right in front of him before she turned her back intimately into his front, and then followed the song. She shook it erotically against him and with a small smile on her face as she rocked her hips teasingly against his.

Shake it for the young bucks sitting in the honky-tonks

For the rednecks rocking til the break of down

For the DJ spinning that country song

Come on, Come on, Come on

Shake it for the birds, Shake it for the bees

Shake it for the catfish swimming down deep in the creek

For the crickets and the critters and the squirrels,

Shake it to the moon, Shake it for me girl.

Country girl, Shake it for me girl

Shake it for me girl

Shake it for me

Country girl, Shake it for me girl

Shake it for me girl

Shake it for me…

Country girl, Shake it for me girl

Shake it for me girl,

Shake it for me.

Kagome turned into him at the end and smiled. “Are you ready?” she whispered to him to the mike wouldn’t pick it up. He nodded and she swung an arm up around his neck and pulled him in for a kiss, stunning both the crowd, and the band. They turned at the same time and smiled at the crowd.

“Kagome and I have been dating for about a year now. Just figured it was time to tell everyone.” Sesshoumaru said calmly.

Kagome on the other hand, simply leaned into the mike and said, “For your information Kouga, the only people who’ve seen me naked are Sesshoumaru, the doctor who birthed me, my mother and Kikyo. Ya’ll on the other hand see me in stages of nudity, at least on the cover of GQ this month, you will. Losers.”

Sesshoumaru pulled Kagome into a hard kiss, to the whoops and cheering of the crowd.

The End!!!!!
