“Inuyasha…” Yukiko whispered, her heart thrashing hurriedly in her chest. His eyes were locked upon his, refusing to move.

In her life, she had never treasured anyone besides her family, and her brother was the one who she held closest to her heart. As he neared her, his lips inches from hers, she felt the blood rushing to her cheeks. Her eyes closed halfway, and she felt herself falling into an abyss that lifted her, body and soul.

“I will protect you,” He promised her, claws caressing her cheek affectionately. Crying, she brought their lips together, promising her heart, and soul, to him.
