Inuyasha’s ears twitched, looking to where Yukiko had been sitting moments ago. He frowned, standing, as he scented where she was last at. He followed her scent, stopping when he saw that it ended at a river. He looked around, his eyes peering down as he saw her at the bottom of the river, holding on to a rock. He gasped, seeing as a burst of air had escaped her, hands releasing the rock as she began to flow downstream.

“Yukiko…no…” he whispered, pulling her from the river.

“You idiot!”

“Inu…yasha…” she coughed. He held her, growling softly.

“Don’t you ever do that again!”

Tears dropped on her cheeks.
