Yukiko sat alone by the stream, tears falling freely from her eyes. She had deceived Naraku, and had betrayed her trust. Her brother would now surely fall into his fate… into his death.

She could not save him. She was worthless, and she was reckless. She let her heart escape her, and now, Yanagi would pay the ultimate price.

With abandon, she plunged herself into the river, hoping that her choice would bring her closer to the only family she had left. She begged for forgiveness, from her family, from the gods, and from him.
