All three demons turned to stare when Kagome began to moan on the bed next to them. Each of them said nothing unsure what to do. She didn’t seem to be waking up, only struggling in her sleep. When she muttered Kikyo’s name, Shippou surprised them all by leaving the room, dragging Kouga with him.

“Listen to me wolf. Get out of here as fast as you can. And don’t ever come back.”

“Kagome was like a mother to you! What are you doing to her?”

“I’m saving her life. The only way I know how. Now leave this place.”
