“The longer you spend here, the more the power inside you grows. The toxin from the jewel is slowly stealing your soul. You cannot stay any longer.” Kikyo seemed to actually be concerned, which made Kagome worry.

“Answer my questions first, or I won’t go anywhere.”

“You will go back, and fix your mess. Haven’t you found it odd that no one remembers you? Who you were? The jewel is a fickle thing. It wants only to cause destruction. You must destroy it.”

“What will destroying this jewel achieve?”

“Balance. Peace. Everything you wanted while here.”
