“Kouga are you alright?” Kagome ran to his side and Inuyasha happily handed him over.

“Mutt nearly got himself killed. Naraku has his shards now.”

While Kagome fretted over his wounds Inuyasha slumped over in front of a tree. After Kagome stopped the bleeding and bandaged his injuries she joined the others.

She pulled the thin silver chain from under her shirt. “He’ll be coming for these next. Other than Kohaku it’s the only piece Naruku’s still missing.

Sango looked away and Kagome held her hands. “This has to end.”

“I know.” She agreed. “Let’s get this over with then.”
