Kagome stomped off to join Sesshoumaru muttering something about insufferable youkai and Inuyasha couldn’t help putting his two cents in.

“Listen, I’m not gonna act like I know what the hell is going on with you two, and it’s not like I’m not happy for the bastards help, but he’s still dangerous Kagome. Be careful.”

The warning in his tone was enough to pull Kagome back down to reality. She’d never heard Inuyasha speak about Sesshoumaru in any way other than threateningly. The fact he was willing to cooperate to succeed wasn’t lost on her.

“I know what I’m doing.”
