Inuyasha was on edge, but it wasn’t Sesshoumaru who’d made him that way. They could all sense it. Sesshoumaru had been right. Naraku was close.

“Can you feel it?” Inuyasha asked from his place at her side.

Kagome nodded in silence, too afraid to speak. She didn’t want her voice to betray her. She was terrified. They’d worked so hard to come full circle, and now the knowledge crushed her.

“I’ll protect you.”

She was staring again, she knew it. From his place in front of them he exuded poised perfection. Sesshoumaru showed no fear.

AN: What a hell of a month it's been. I won't bore you with petty details, but long story short, I've been in the hospital for most of the month for a bad accident I was in last month. I go to physical therapy 4x a week, and I've finally been released to come back home. Though I can't really do much writing because it hurts to do too much, I can hopefully be able to give more C&P updates now that I'm home.

Thanks for the patience, and enjoy the next few installments of Insanity.
