“Kagome!” Shippou called from the place beside her, “Come on Kagome, you have to wake up. I need you to wake up.”

This can’t be the way it all ends. There has to be another way. It was impossible to think something couldn’t be done to fix this mess. She tried to tell me, I shouldn’t have left her alone!

Shippou took one of her hands in his. She’s cold. Her breathing is shallow too.

His head jerked up. Someone was coming. If she dies, I’ll kill you.

This was his fault.

Shippou cradled Kagome to his chest and wept.
