“You can't keep her for yourself.” Inuyasha declared.

Sesshoumaru gave him a look that clearly said try me. “You have no claim on the miko. I have already succeeded where you have fallen short.”

“You have no claim on her either.”

“I have bedded the miko.” Sesshoumaru expected him to yell, he expected him to shout profanities, to scream out that Sesshoumaru had no right. Instead, Inuyasha simply hung his head. “I will have her.”

“No, Sesshoumaru, you won't. You can't.” Inuyasha wasn't upset, he'd said goodbye to Kagome long ago. But he didn't envy Sesshoumaru.
