“Her power rivals your own.” Inuyasha mused. “Why would you wish to save it?”

Sesshoumaru was growing tired of the cat and mouse game they played. He had come here to hear how to save Kagome from her fate. If Inuyasha couldn't give him that, he had no business staying.

Inuyasha seemed to read his thoughts. “Indulge me. Maybe if you tell me what I wanna hear I'll give you a way to keep her. Not that she'll agree.”

“Hnn.”

Inuyasha smirked. Sesshoumaru was going to hate him after their conversation was over.

He'd savor Sesshomaru's tolerance while it lasted.
