“You want to save her.” It was not a question, but simply a fact. One Inuyasha took perverse pleasure in voicing aloud.

“She is powerful.” Sesshoumaru stated simply. “It would be wasteful to let it be discarded so easily.”

“Power. That's why you want to save me yourself is it. Not for duty, but for power. You disgust me.” Inuyasha mocked.

Sesshoumaru had no comeback.

Sesshoumaru could lie to himself all he wanted, but Inuyasha wasn't fooled. He cares about her.There was now something Sesshoumaru cared for more than himself, but Inuyasha wondered how that could have possibly happened.
