There and Back Again

He felt the voice rather than heard it. He looked down but Inuyasha remained still as stone. And then he was gone and Sesshoumaru was alone.

He recognized it at once. He had been here only once before, when Inuyasha had summoned him through the power of the Tessaiga. But he hadn’t touched the ancient fang, and so he wondered how he’d come to be here.

Sesshoumaru was not left wondering for long. The essence that was Inuyasha walked straight for him. No longer just an essence, he was now recognizable. His hanyou form was faded, but no less Inuyasha.
