Sesshoumaru’s words barely registered in her mind. His proximity was playing with her mind. There were so many reasons why this wasn’t possible. When his hands released her and he stepped closer she had no choice but to believe it was real.

His claws rested against her waist. This time, in comfort. When Kagome looked to question him she had to catch her breath. As always Sesshoumaru was the epitome of self-control but behind his half-lidded eyes Kagome could tell he was fighting himself.

Closing his eyes he let his instincts drive him. Kagome felt her powers react, then change.
