“Yes.” Shippou agreed. “But if not for that fool, we would not be standing here right now. If not for Kagome’s foolish notions, Naraku would still be alive. And then where would we be? We’d all be dead. You. Me. Inuyasha. Everyone. And all because a fool refused to play by the rules.”

Shippou allowed his words to sink in. It was harsh, and arguably very stupid, to try and reason with Sesshoumaru. But he had nothing left to lose. As he walked away he sighed, “Maybe next time you’ll thank the fool who saved you too.”
