Kagome blinked a few times, taking in her surroundings. Lacking the physical strength, she let the sword fall to the ground. It clanked loudly then lay flat.

“Kagome?” The kitsune cautiously questioned.

“It’s me Shippou.”

“Good.”

Sesshoumaru wasn’t convinced. Pressing his blade against her neck he challenged. “Give me one good reason I shouldn’t remove your head from your body.”

Kagome sneered at him but refused to drop her gaze. “Try it. And you’ll never see Inuyasha alive again Sesshoumaru.”

Narrowed slits eyed her critically. “Remember me, do you? What if you’re dreaming?”

“Your games don’t work on me anymore.”
