~ Real quick I just want to clear some questions up.........
This story is taking place after Naraku is defeated. Inuyasha is now a full demon, and Kagome travels between the two times as she pleases but mainly stays in the feudal era. Also I know this seems to be moving fast but Kagome is more practical and a little jaded after dealing with Inuyasha for so long. Kikyou and Kohaku are both alive and well and will show up later in the story....... I think that 's it.

~ In The Western Lands ~
After spending the evening explaining how they would be come mates and what would happen, Sesshomaru had left Kagome too rest, announcing that the would return to Kagome's village to settle things there.
Kagome stood on the balcony outside of her rooms, and thought about what was to come.
*Inuyasha is not going to be happy.* She thought letting her head fall into her hands. *No. No second guessing yourself Kagome. You made your choice, and there's no going back.* She scolded herself and straighten.
*Think about how cute your babies will be!* With that happy thought Kagome climbed into her new bed and pulled the cover over her head.
~ One Room Over ~
Sesshomaru listen to the Kagome settle in for the night, from the desk in his room. He was pulled from his thoughts by a knock at the door to his bed chambers.
"Enter" He called softly, knowing the man woman on the other side would hear him.
Sesshomaru stood and held out a hand as his mother entered the room. Allowing her son to settle her into a chair, Lady Ai watched as Sesshomaru returned to his place behind his desk.
"You arrived faster than I expected." Sesshomaru stated smiling at his mother. Ai smiled back, glad that her son always dropped his cold mask when she was present.
"I was astounded to learn that my son has finally chosen a mate. And a human at that! I can not tell you how happy I am Sesshomaru. The only thing that could make me happier would be if she was already carrying my gran-pup, but I will not complain. Where is she?" Ai asked, looking passed the black drapes that hide Sesshomaru massive bed. Sesshomaru laughed at his mother and leaned back in his chair.
"She is sleeping in the next room. I have decided to give her a little time to adjust to the situation. If you have thought me anything, it is that women should not be rushed." Sesshomaru answered. Ai looked over the form of her only child and smile.
"You are happy with your decision, therefore so and I." She told him as she stood. "I will welcome your mate properly in the morning, and if it pleases you I will help her adjust to her duties as Lady of the west." She continued waving him of as he moved to stand as well. Sesshomaru watched him mother leave, before moving toward his bed, his clothes falling away as he went.
~ The Next Day With Inuyasha And The Group ~
"What does this bastard want." Inuyasha growled jumping to his feet. Miroku, and Sango exited the hut as Inuyasha unsheathed Tetsusaiga.
"What is it Inuyasha?" Miroku ask stepping to Inuyasha side.
"Sesshomaru" Inuyasha growled. Villagers began scream as Sesshomaru's demon orb appeared above the village. Sesshomaru stepped forward regally, ignoring Inuyasha, his sword, and the terrified villagers.
"Where is the kit." Sesshomaru demanded, looking pass Inuyasha to Miroku. The monk cleared his throat, and edged around Inuyasha.
"Do you mean Shippo My Lord?" He asked looking puzzled. Inuyasha's curses were cut off, when Kagome stepped from behind Sesshomaru, and pushed Tetsusaiga aside.
"That's enough Inuyasha's put that thing away." She said as she walked into the hut. Miroku's expression went from puzzled to dumbfounded, when the Lord of the West breezed past his brother and followed Kagome into the hut.
"WHAT THE HELL!" Inuyasha yelled, when the other followed behind Sesshomaru. As he stormed into the hut. Kagome sighed and ruffled Shippo's hair, shifting over when Sesshomaru came to stand behind her.
"Kagome what the hell is going on." Inuyasha demanded as he came in. Sesshomaru growled but remained silent.
"Its kinda a long story. Sit down please everyone." Kagome asked. After everyone was settle Kagome motioned for Sesshomaru to sit beside her.
"Um did you enjoy your time at home Lady Kagome?" Miroku asked trying to cut threw the tension.
"Yea wench. I don't remember telling you, you could go back yesterday! And what the hell are you doing with this ass!" Inuyasha cut in before Kagome could answer. Kagome felt Sesshomaru tense beside her and placed a hand on his arm.
"Inuyasha would you please shut up for a second, so I can explain what's going on." When everyone, including Inuyasha remained quite Kagome spoke again.
"Um its really simple really. Sesshomaru asked me to be his mate, and I agreed." She stated, and waited for things to turn bad. She didn't have to wait long. Kagome had barely finished speaking, when Inuyasha cursed and lunged, not at Sesshomaru, but at her. She felt a breeze as one clawed hand within inches of her face, before Sesshomaru flung Inuyasha across the room.
"You will NOT touch her" He growled when Inuyasha had climbed to his feet.
"How could you do this to me! all this time, play miss innocent when your where fucking my BROTHER!" Inuyasha accused. His eye turning red.
"You know what Inuyasha, I'm not even going to waste time arguing with you." She said. " Miroku, Sango, Sesshomaru said it would be fine if you can to with us too, but there's no rush." Kagome turned to Sesshomaru, who was eying Inuyasha.
"I just want to grab some things and then when can go." She told him. Twenty minutes later Kagome stood outside, a quite Shippo in her arms.
"Thank you guy's for not overreacting. I hope you'll come and visit soon." After giving hugs to both Sango, and Miroku, Kagome turned to Inuyasha.
"I hope that in time you'll realize this was for the best. Kikyou is still out there, and its her that you really want." She said giving him a sad smile. Inuyasha turned away, and walked back into the hut. Sesshomaru placed a hand on Kagome's shoulder.
"We must go. I will send a messenger back in two weeks time, if you wish to travel to our keep, he will show you the way." He said, speaking to Miroku and Sango, who nodded. Kagome looked down at Shippo.
"Are you okay with all this? You can stay with Sango and Miroku if you want to." She offered.
"No, I want to stay with you." Shippo replied quickly and waved goodbye to the others.
~ Hours Later In The Western Lands ~
Sesshomaru set Kagome on her feet and looked over his people, who had gather in the main courtyard to greet him, and his Lady.
"I present to you my mate, Lady Kagome. You will show her the same respect that you show me. Any one who fails do so will be dealt with immediately." He ordered locking eyes with the more powerful demons under his service. A female demon stepped forward, her beautiful face contorted with disgust.
"You chose this human whore over ME! My father is...." She feel silent as Sesshomaru's whip sliced threw the air, her body disintegrating before it hit the grown.
"I will not tolerate ANY form of disrespect in regards to my mate. Am I clear." Sesshomaru asked as the wind blew the woman’s remains away.
"Yes My Lord." The assembly answered at once. Sesshomaru nodded and turn to the figure that stood in the entrance to the keep.
"Kagome it pleases me to introduce Ai. Lady of the west, and my mother. Mother my mate,Lady Kagome." He stated. Kagome gasped when the lady in question stepped forward and inclosed both her, and Shippo into her embrace.
"It is a pleasure to me you my child. Welcome home." Ai said stepping back, she looked at Shippo.
"And who is this young man?" She asked. Kagome smiled down at Shippo.
"This is Shippo. He's my son." She replied watching emotions pass across Ai's face.
"Wonderful! You only just arrived and I already have a gran-pup!" She exclaimed. Sesshomaru took Kagome and his mothers arms.
"Come dinner should be ready." He said, and walked them into the keep.
