Chapter 3: The Confirmation

For a moment, she only stared, blinking to see if her imagination was merely playing tricks on her.  Then, as the papers slipped from her hands, Kagome all but started sobbing as she reached out and pulled Sesshoumaru towards her in a tight embrace.  “It’s you…  It really is you…”

The taiyoukai wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer, as he breathed in her scent.  He’d longed to hold her again, and now that she was finally in his arms again, he almost didn’t want to let go.

“Why?  Why only now?”

“Because you didn’t need me yet.”
