Slow lazy licks, soft searing kisses, those were what he would remember when he thought of that night.  He was much more patient than either of them thought he could be.  This was a new experience for her and with the time he’d spent on this earth came the skill needed to truly pleasure her.

Yes, there would be pain, but only for a moment.  He would take great strides to keep from harming her more than what was necessary.  He planned to have her so drunk on pleasure that she wouldn’t be able to acknowledge the pain of her innocence being torn apart.  Slowly mapping her body was the way to insure she would enjoy herself and never forget about him.

This was his first and last gift to her; she did not belong to this time, to him.  She belonged to the half-breed, but he wanted her and amazingly enough she desired him, more so than either one was willing to admit.

It seemed as if they’d been at this for hours; he brought her to the peak and pushed her off the edge so many times she didn’t think she could take much more.  Her body was overly sensitive and his light touches were driving her insane.  Her low moan alerted him to another release, he smiled, he was the killing perfection and he had given her numerous little deaths that were as mind altering as they come.  Her alluring scent made him think things he shouldn’t; already his beast wanted to keep her, she soothed them both.

Her power was like a gift from the gods; she was as deadly as he was; only she didn’t know it.  Correction she chose not to acknowledge it.  She fought too many battles to simply not know that she was one of the most deadly beings in this time.  Too childlike in her actions, he’d taken her training under his care.  She had not wanted to learn the ways of a warrior, but in the end, she’d conceded to his will.

They spent many sleepless nights honing her skills, though she never once complained of her ill treatment, the half-breed complained enough for the both of them.  He silently watched as she collapsed into blissful unconsciousness repeatedly only to bend to his will the following evening.  For three months, she endured his demanding and often suicidal training and in the end, she emerged a much more adept fighter.  Now she was able to fight with deadly accuracy rather than have to rely on the strength of others, not that her friends would simply abandon her in the mist of battle.  No, they were still willing to give up their lives for her, and to his amazement, he found that he was willing to defend her just as viciously if she needed him.

When he’d first approached her she’d laughed, though to her credit she had tried to stifle her mirth.  She couldn’t understand why any being such as he would consider her as a bed partner.  When she had realized he was serious she sobered quickly, her face paled and she stumbled in her reply.  “Why me?”

Her voice coming out weaker than intended.  He shrugged, “Why not you.”

His utter disdain for humans had nothing to do with their humanity, just the factors that they could not control at present.  Yes, they were weaker and in their ignorance, they believed things to be true that simply were not.  Their aversion to regular bathing was an example of this, fearing something terrible would happen if they chanced the water too often or too long.  Humans were to be treated as pups, unsure in their footing and place in this world; they needed a guiding hand as they learned to maneuver in the world around them.

She held none of their silly beliefs or their prejudices, but he would still lose her to time.  He would not ask her to stay only to lose her in a few short moments. Taking pleasure from her body was all he would allow himself; it would have to be enough.  And so he did something unheard of, he told her of his need and desire for her and let her decide.

He had thought she was going to deny him for she took so long to answer; but it was after a particularly hard won battle that she came to him.

She never said a word as she stepped out of her clothing and entered the spring.  He watched her through hooded eyes as she made her way to him.  She didn’t stop until she was only a few inches from him.  He could feel her breath upon his skin; hear her heart as it sped up in anticipation of what was to come.

Looking up into his face she whispered, “I almost didn’t come.”

“Why did you?”  He asked, he was curious, he was sure she had decided that his confession would be something else she would choose not to acknowledge.  Then she answered,

“I had to know if only for a moment how it felt to be desired.”
