The Bridezilla Syndrome by Kogasangel

The proposal

A/N:  If you've never watched Bridezilla, then you are missing a treat.  I came up with this idea when I watched it last week and I just could not help myself.  This will be a series of one-shot drabbles and longer should the mood strike me.  This is purely for fun and I hope you enjoy it.

Touga could barely  contain his glee as he watched his eldest son crouch down on bended knee to present the diamond ring to his lovely significant other.  Kagome was everything he could have asked for in a daughter and now, Sesshomaru was making his wish come true by adding her to the family.

But, while those who looked at him many find that his happiness was due to the fact that his eldest was finally settling down into family life, Touga was sure that if they could read his thoughts, they would be greatly disappointed in him.

Oh, sure.  He was thrilled that Sesshomaru was getting married, but he was also about to gain revenge for all of the years of suffering that Sesshomaru had put him through and he knew that once it began, there would be no stopping the carnage and the best part of all of it was that he would have a front row seat to the madness.

What he knew, and what Sesshomaru didn’t, is that every female had a gene within her that activated when preparing to marry.  This gene turns sweet, compassionate, loving females into horribly loud creatures who are out to not only bleed their intended mate’s wallets dry, but also deprive the intended mate of his sanity, as well.

It was the bridezilla syndrome and Touga could tell that Kagome’s gene was awakening as he watched the young woman squeal out her acceptance before turning to how her mother and friends her engagement ring.

Sesshomaru turned and nodded towards his father while for his part, Touga lifted a glass in his son’s direction indicating that he approved of the situation.  When his son’s eyes turned back to his blushing fiancé, Touga allowed a snicker to escape from his mouth.

“Paybacks are a bitch, my son, and now, so is your bride.”
