Kagome’s epiphany shocked her. Could this beautiful, ethereal being actually be sad and lonely? Surely no one could be happy being so detached from the rest of the world. How could anyone be content watching everyone else have normal lives…family, friends, laughter, tears…and not be jealous? She felt terrible for her animosity towards him, and shame for not realizing it sooner. She resolved then and there that she would make more of an effort to get to know the daiyoukai, to bring him out of his shell and back into the world. He deserved it, he was honorable and worthy.
