“You will stop your assault on This Sesshoumaru, miko” he said softly, his voice promising retribution if she didn’t comply.

She lowered her finger. His voice could at once bring tidings of destruction and pain, and promises of joy and pleasure. She felt her body pulse in desire and tense in preparation for defense. He was so strange, a creature of duality. He showed nothing but malice, but in his heart, she wondered what was there. Certainly no being was as emotionless as he let others believe.

She wondered if the most fearsome daiyoukai in the world actually liked himself.
