Sesshoumaru raised a brow and nodded, curious about what the hanyou desired to speak with him about. Had something gone wrong while he was away?

"Do you love her?" Inuyasha demanded.

The taiyoukai was stunned. He hadn't been expecting that question; that was for sure.

"I believe my feelings for the miko are none of your concern," he replied flatly.

 “The hell they aren't! You don't, huh? If you don't love her, you need to step back. She deserves to be loved, by both of us, and if you can't give her that... Did you even stop to think that maybe that's why she hasn't agreed to be our mate yet? Because she's waiting for you to say it?"

"That is between Kagome and I."

"Yeah, you just keep saying that. She's waiting for you to tell her you love her, and if you don't, she's never gonna be our mate," Inuyasha growled in frustration.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome exclaimed. "I told you already! I know he cares about me, and that's all I need. What in the world are you thinking, trying to pressure him into saying something like that?!"

Sesshoumaru stayed silent, stuck in the middle of their argument while considering his brother's words. Was she really waiting to hear it? Was that something he could say? He was fairly certain he felt it, but speaking the words was something else entirely. He was not typically comfortable with feelings of any sort, and to confess one that would make him so vulnerable was something he was hesitant to do. Yes, he knew she loved him, that she wouldn't judge him, but for some reason that did not make things easier. He didn't know why, he just knew that the idea of confessing his love made him incredibly uncomfortable.

"That's it! You two are supposed to be brothers now, a team, not working against each other. Inuyasha, you need to learn to listen, and the both of you need to get closer." A smirk slowly overtook her face as she remembered something she had fantasized about over the last few days. This would be perfect. "I think I have just the thing. She followed them into the bedchamber and ordered them to strip, both males doing as she asked. Neither liked the idea that she was angry with them, even though Sesshoumaru hadn't done anything to incur her wrath this time. They were still of the mindset that they would give her whatever she desired or needed so that she would agree to be their mate. Inuyasha, especially, was concerned. He knew he shouldn't have opened his mouth, but he wanted Kagome to be loved by both of her mates. She deserved that, and if Sesshoumaru couldn't give it to her then he didn't deserve her at all.

He still had no idea what the taiyoukai had seen in his miko in the beginning. Sesshoumaru hated humans, so he couldn't understand why his elder brother would pursue a human female, much less his Kagome. If his purpose wasn't to hurt him or to gain his sword, then it made no sense to him. The miko hadn't been able to explain that part because she honestly didn't know. Inuyasha needed to find out because otherwise he would make himself insane trying to figure it out.

"Now what, wench?" the hanyou asked gruffly. That smirk on her face was making him nervous.

"I want the two of you to lie down side by side. I'll be right back." The miko hurried back to the main chamber and began digging through the baskets of supplies until she found what she was looking for. She rushed back into the room and looked over her men lying on the mattress.

"Closer," she said with a laugh. They were both as close to their edge of the bed as possible with enough space between them for her to fit. The two scooted minutely closer to each other, and Kagome rolled her eyes. "Much closer. I want your bodies touching."

"Ugh, why do we have to be touching?" the hanyou complained while Sesshoumaru silently moved to the middle of the bed. He was curious was his vixen had in mind. When Inuyasha failed to move, the taiyoukai huffed in annoyance. "Do as she asked of you, little brother."
