Imaginary Friend Challenge Part 1

Kagome giggled to herself as she played with her little stuffed dog... She made yapping noises and ran around her room, pretending that the dog was chasing her.

"That is so not how a dog acts." Kagome glanced over by her bed and rolled her eyes. He was back.

"I didn't ask you how a dog acts, Sesshoumaru. I can play any way I want." She ignored the little boy sitting on her bed, watching her with cold yellow eyes. He didn't seem to like her at all... Yet he always showed up to either watch her, or tell her she was playing wrong.

Sometimes it bugged her... But other times it made her happy that he was there, just because she was an only child... and her parents always seemed to busy to play with her. She had had a nanny since she could rememeber and her parents were always away doing something or another. So Sesshoumaru's presence was not always unwelcome. It did help that he seemed to be the same age as her, too.

"I am a Dog Demon... I would never be seen yapping and running around like an idiot." Kagome stuck her tongue out at him and cuddled her little doggie to her chest... Whom she had named Inuyasha.

"Who ever said that Inuyasha was a dog demon? He's just a cute little doggie and at least he is nice to me and doesn't call me dumb. What are you doing here anyway? Don't you have something "Dog Demony" to do?"

"Don't ask my questions human, you are below me. I will ask the questions." Just then Sango, Kagome's nanny, walked in and looked around the room.

"Who are you talking to Kagome?" Kagome watched her look right at Sesshoumaru and sighed. No one but her could see Sesshoumaru... it made her kind of sad. She had stopped talking about seeing him, since no one seemed to believe her.

"Why, I'm talking to my doggie silly. I'm training him to follow me around so he will never get lost!" She chirped, kissing her stuffed animal on the head.

"God, is she an idiot. She can't even see me and she believes that filth that you talk about training something that isn't even real." Kagome sent a shooting glare toward the bed, then smiled sweetly back up at Sango as if nothing had happened."

"Well, alright Kagome. Lunch is going to be done soon... Go wash your hands and face, then come to the kitchen."

"Ok!" Sango walked out, with Kagome in tow, completely forgetting about Sesshoumaru for the moment.

He sat on the bed and looked around the little girls room, eyes sad. He could only visit her once and a while... No one thought he was real. He mind as well not be. He was from a different world... He had no idea why he could visit this little girl, but she took away some of the sadness in his lonely life.

He was only a young child, but he had to have the mind of a king. His world was not so pleasant. He would never have the childhood of Kagome, where he could play and have no worries. He knew the little girl was lonely as well though, and maybe that was why she so intrigued him.

He let out a light sigh and got off the bed, time to go back to his world. For now.

Kagome sat outside by the pool, her little Inuyasha on her lap. Sango was sitting in the reclining chair... it looked like she might be sleeping. This was no fun. While Sango was soaking up the sun, Kagome had to sit bored. She was not even allowed to go into the pool because Sango was asleep.

"What's that Inuyasha? We should go in anyway? I agree... I will just stay in the shallow end!" Kagome scooted off her chair and ran over to the shallow side of the pool. Sango wouldn't mind, it was too hot out to not go swimming! She sent a glare over Sango's way, unless you were sleeping.

Kagome waded out into the water, holding Inuyasha over her head. She laughed and splashed around. Sango slept on. She didn't notice that she was getting close and closer to the deep side, until Inuyasha fell into the water.

"Inuyasha!" She gasped and dove to get him. She forgot to to take a deep breath. She tried her hardest to swim to the bottom, but couldn't make it. In a panic, she screamed out her last breath.

"Sesshoumaru!"

Sesshoumaru jolted out of his sleep. Who had called him? He felt distressed and panicked. Kagome.

He sent himself to wear Kagome had yelled for him, and saw her floating in the pool.

"Oh my god, Kagome!" He transformed into his demon form and dove into the pool, snatching her out of the water. He transformed back to human form and panicked.

"How do I make her breath? How do I make her breath?!" He put his mouth on hers, and blew as much air in as he could. Her chest expanded, so he did it again. Around the fifth time, she started coughing.

Kagome opened her eyes to see a dripping Sesshoumaru.

"You... You saved me?!" She asked weakly.

He glared down at her. "Of course I did, what the hell were you thinking? Were you trying to kill yourself swimming while your nanny is asleep?? I can't always be here to save you you know!"

"This is the first time you ever saved me Sesshoumaru..." He let out a Un-Sesshoumaru like snort and shook out his hair like a dog. The water hit Sango and she sat up with a jolt. She looked over at Kagome and stood up like a shot.

"Kagome! Why are you all wet? You know not to go into the pool without me watching you!"

"Told you so." Sesshoumaru put in. Kagome chucked her soaked Inuyasha in his face.

"I was just in the shallowe end Sango... Nothing happened." Kagome decided not to tell Sango what happened... she would rather not get yelled at.

While Sango bickered at Kagome, Sesshoumaru chose this time to go back to his world. He was just glad he could help her.
