Trapped in Time

Disclaimer: Yup, I don't own Inuyasha! I don't own Gackt and his music. I don't get any profit from this fiction.

This SessKag fic was made based on a music video that was performed by a Japanese musician, Gackt Camui, called Kimi ga oikaketa yume (A dream that you chased). You could watch this video on http:// www. youtube. com/ watch?v= USyztjsRVNI.

For my Beta, Ceferadel, you're the best!!!

Trapped in Time

Sesshoumaru was standing in front of Chocolate Café, his favourite outdoor café; it's the place where he would be meeting with his beloved fiancée, Kagome. He glanced at his watch. 12:29. But he noticed that the watch was broken. What? The watch's broken? Did I knock it on something before? Damn. I guess I'll have to get it fixed later. He searched around the café for her. Hn. She's not here yet. That's good that I'm earlier than her today. I still remember the last time I was late. I spent two hours only to get her to talk to me, and another hour to hear her ranting about how she had run from her apartment just to see me in time. She then had to explain how every second was precious when she was with me. Sesshoumaru allowed a soft smile to adorn his handsome face. She didn't know how precious every second of my life had become since she accepted my proposal.

He walked into the café, and then chose to sit at an empty table in the middle of the room. The café was bustling with life as people rushed about to get back to work quickly. He called to ask for the menu from one of the waiters who passed beside his table, but he just ignored him. Hn? Maybe he's too busy with the other customers. No matter, Kagome would be arriving soon.

Sesshomaru waited patiently for her, and chose to spend his time by remembering her smile.

Kagome was walking down the street from her campus. Smiling all the way, thinking about her handsome fiancé. I'll have to ask him about having dinner at my place tonight. I'm getting better at cooking his favourite grilled beef and I'll prove it to him tonight. She continued to walk while her mind was busy making plans for tonight's dinner.

Out of the blue, a crystal of snow fell upon her delicate nose. Snowing? So pretty, just like my fiancé's hair. She opened her umbrella and looked at her watch. 12:25. Whoops! I'm almost late. She fastened her pace, not wanting to waste anymore time when she could be in his presence.

Sesshoumaru's gaze was fixed on the snow that started to fall. Snowing? Hn, she loves snow. Is she too caught up in watching the snow on her way here? He smirked a little. Maybe now it's my turn to give her a lesson about being late. Yup, a lesson that involves a lot of tickling.

Sesshoumaru watched the snowfall, thinking absently about what things he could do to make her melodic laughter ring. But something odd startled him. Wait, is it just me or the snow is falling backwards? He watched the moving snow closely. It is falling backwards! The snow was going back to the sky! Doesn't anyone else notice this?? He scanned out the room and gasp. Everything around him was doing things backwardly. Like a replay from a video. What is happening?? He was terribly confuse and ran outside the café. He then stopped in the middle of the road. He closed his eye, took deep breaths to calm his beating heart. Calm Sesshoumaru, calm yourself. You must be hallucinating! Then when he opened his eyes, he saw her.

Kagome... smiled at his direction. He felt warm suddenly. Everything is all right as long as she is here with me, smiling for me. He reached out his hand, stepping forward to reach her. But from the corner of his eye he saw a black car moving fast toward him. No!!! Kagome!!! He braced himself for the impact, but amazingly the black sedan just passed his body. What the?? Not a minute after that, Kagome was running also, passing his body. What the hell?? And then from behind him, he heard a loud crash.

Kagome arrived across the street in front of Chocolate Café, his favourite outdoor café. 12:29. Whew, close timing! Then she saw him running from across the main street on the right side of the café. She smiled watching him. He's running because he doesn't want to be late again. Silly fiancé. Wait, that's reckless. Why is he not watching before crossing the street? "No! Sesshoumaru!!! Stay there!!!" She ran towards him after a black car had passed in front of her. But it was too late.

She heard the loud crash. She saw his body got hit by a car then fell onto the pavement. As she rushed to his side she saw blood covering his handsome face. "No!!!" She screamed in horror, running even faster towards his body. "No, Sesshoumaru!!! No!!! This was not happening! Wake up!!!". She shook his body, and grabbing his arm noticed that his watch was broken, at 12:29. She hugged him and cried uncontrollably. "No, no, no!!!"

Sesshomaru stood behind her, horror painted in his face. Here he stood, watching Kagome cry and screamed while hugging... HIS DEAD BODY! No! This was not happening! I can't be dead! I have to be alive! He stepped back and shook his head slowly, in shock and denial. I still have a lot to do. I must tease Kagome because she was late today! I must drink a cup of hot chocolate with her in my favorite café! I must ask her how was her day and what will she have for dinner tonight. I must tell her that I love her today and every single day that will follow. And if I find my courage, I will convince her to marry me. He felt the start of a burning tear. No. I am not dead. No. This is not real. No. He glanced at the horrid scene for one last time and than turned around, walking back to his favourite café.
