Sesshoumaru Hates Fairy Tales

Author Note: This is my first response to a challenge, don't know how good it is, but I tried. Anyway, I hope that you enjoy it. :)

Sesshoumaru's small entourage was retired for the night, and he was looking forward to a little quite. Rin had talked all day about Kagome. He had let her visit the miko. Rin needed some time with others, and Kagome always took good care of her. Though, something dreadful had happened this time. Rin had been told a story something she called a 'Fairy Tale' he had no idea what that was. However, he quickly decided he didn't like it.

She wouldn't stop chatting about the frog prince. Sesshoumaru didn't understand how a frog could be a prince. She also mentioned vile creatures, like three-headed dogs. The only three-headed dogs Sesshoumaru had ever met where nice. They didn't fit with how Rin described them. Sesshoumaru knew then that he had to go and visit the miko. She would not get away with telling such lies.

Once Rin fell into a deep slumber, he left ordering Ah-Uhn to watch his small pack in his absence. He could easily scent out his brother's pack. They hadn't yet traveled very far apart. He waltzed right into the clearing, picked Kagome up and left. She didn't wake, which surprised him. He took her to a small stream not to far from her current camp. He splashed water on her face making her scream.

Kagome quickly looked around her surroundings and saw Sesshoumaru. She was scared out of her mind. What had she done to Rin this time? He always came to her and demanded why she had tainted his ward with this or that. She should really have been use to the kidnapping and the accusations, but she wasn't.

“Why are you filling Rin's head with such lies?” he questioned her. Kagome just looked at him like a confused puppy. Sesshoumaru sighed, she never knew what he was talking about.

“I am talking about these 'Fairy Tales' you told her. They are completely wrong, three-headed dogs are actually quite nice. There is no half-human half-fish, and finally there is no frog prince,” he clarified for her human brain. Kagome felt her jaw wanting to drop, but she didn't allow it to. They were just stories, not a documentation of what was.

“Sesshoumaru, these are stories not meant to be taken seriously. I apologize for any inconveniences it has brought you,” Kagome said, knowing she should apologize. It always made him easier to deal with when she did.

Sesshoumaru nodded his approval, at her apology. “You will not tell Rin another one of these stories,” he said turning and leaving her to find her way back to her camp.

Kagome snorted at his behavior. “Some prince you are! I wish you had a fairy tale all your own to deal with,” Kagome muttered, under her breath. Unfortunately, it wasn't soft enough to not be heard by a fairy. She liked to cause trouble, and this was most assuredly a perfect opportunity. She knew how much the strict lord hated fairies. Now she would make sure he had a fairy tail, she couldn't quite make the girl's exact wish come true. However, she was sure that her idea would be funnier.

The fairy trailed Sesshoumaru back to his encampment and sat a way behind him. She couldn't wait to get noticed. Sesshoumaru sat down and felt eyes on him. Something had followed him, and it was annoying him. “Come out and I may spare you,” he ordered his unwelcome visitor.

Rivier, the fairy, came at his beckon. She bowed low saying, “Lord Sesshoumaru what may this fairy do for you?” She asked coyly. Sesshoumaru watched the purple-haired fairy, wearily.

He never did trust fairies, and this was fairy was no exemption.

He glared at her saying, “You may leave my presence, now.” The fairy shook her head. There was no way she was leaving.

“I heard a miko, wanting for you to see what it was like to have a Fairy Tail. So here I am being your fairy tail,” the fairy said smugly. The smugness didn't last for long, because, Sesshoumaru had cut her into several pieces with his acid whip. It may have been overkill, but Sesshoumaru didn't like fairy tales of any variety.
