Chapter 92 - Stipulations

"Any suggestions?" she asked in a flirtatious tone, growing more excited by the minute. She had to fight not to bounce on her toes, almost as if she'd drunk too much coffee.

"I think now would be the perfect time to make you my mate," he replied, his voice thick with his arousal. He instantly regretted his words as her scent hit him and she visibly tensed. She was suddenly incredibly nervous and uncomfortable and he should have known better than to push her. She obviously wasn't ready yet. "Or not," he added.

"It's not that I don't want to be with you," Kagome replied. "I do. I want to be with you so badly it hurts. I... I'm just not ready for that big of a commitment."

Sesshoumaru was silent for a moment, carefully thinking over her words, before he spoke again. "So you desire to be intimate with this Sesshoumaru, but you are not ready to be marked as my mate?"

The miko smiled softly, glad that he understood her position without too much explaining. It was difficult for her to talk seriously about sex. She could tease and flirt around the subject easily, but when it came to actual, physical intimacy, the words got stuck in her throat. "Exactly."

"I find that acceptable." It really didn't matter to him when he marked her as his mate, because in his mind she already was. There was no reason to rush her into a lifelong commitment when he didn't have to. It wasn't like he was on a deadline or that she was going somewhere. She would always be with him. Instead of being disappointed, the taiyoukai was thrilled. She was finally ready for them to be physically intimate! They were completely alone with no chance of interruption. Things were developing perfectly.

"Is this a business deal?" she asked playfully. "Shall we sign a contract with dozens of stipulations?"

"What kind of stipulations would you desire?" he asked in a flirtatious tone.

"Hmm," Kagome hummed softly as she thought. What rules could she make regarding their first time together? How, exactly, did she want this major event in her life to go? "You have to promise to start slow for me, okay?"

Sesshoumaru nodded. "Of course."

"Have you ever been with a virgin before?" she asked him, wondering, not for the first time, about his previous lovers.

The taiyoukai considered her question for a moment before replying. "Not that I know of," he admitted.

"Well, it's likely to hurt, even though I doubt I have much of a hymen left after everything we've already done, along with my level of physical activity and getting tossed around like a ragdoll by demons."

"Hymen?" he inquired, confused by the foreign term.

"That's what they call the barrier a virgin is supposed to have for her first lover to break."

"But you will not have one?" he asked.

"Not likely, but if I do, it wouldn't be big or complete," Kagome mused. "It couldn't be." She studied his face, wondering if he was going to question her virginity due to the lack of a barrier. "All kinds of things can break it, long before you ever even think about having sex. That's usually what causes the pain during your first time, but it still might hurt just because I'll have to stretch to accommodate that giant thing you've got hanging between your legs," she said, her tone growing flirtatious towards the end.

"I swore to you that I would never hurt you and I will keep that oath," he assured her. "I will ensure that you are more than adequately prepared."

"You ever hurt a girl with that thing?" she asked, morbidly curious.

"Perhaps a moment of discomfort during the initial penetration," he replied, sounding cold and clinical, almost like a doctor discussing a medical procedure. "But only if they were not properly prepared."

"And what does properly prepared mean?" Kagome inquired.

Sesshoumaru smirked. "It means that I will ensure you are wet and ready for me," he practically purred, chuckling as the miko blushed. Though embarrassed, she relaxed a great deal. He would do whatever it took to ensure he didn't hurt her and she trusted him.

Her blush darkened as she came up with a reply, but it took her a moment to work up the nerve to say it. "I don't think that will be a problem."

Sesshoumaru's cock twitched at her words and he let out a groan. Gods, she sounded sexy talking like that. "Is that so?" He breathed in deeply and growled seductively. "You smell absolutely delicious. I think I might just need a taste."

Though her blush remained, the miko slipped past the taiyoukai with a giggle, headed down the hall towards the bedroom they'd used the night before. "You'll have to catch me first."
