Chapter 71 - A First Time for Everything

Kagome awoke feeling warm and secure and sighed happily, snuggling in closer to the taiyoukai.

"Did you sleep well?" Sesshoumaru asked softly. He had greatly enjoyed holding her while she slept and had been sorely tempted to snooze as well. She felt so right in his arms. It was soothing, comfortable and intimate in a way he had never experienced before.

"I did, better than I have in a while. How long was I out?"

"Almost two hours," he told her. "You must have needed the rest."

"After what you did to me, I'm not surprised," she said in that teasing tone he loved. "How are you feeling?"

"This Sesshoumaru is fine," he replied, confused as to why she was asking about him.

"Really? I'd think you'd be incredibly frustrated right about now."

"I am," he confessed, "but I will survive."

"You're sweet," Kagome whispered, breathing in his manly scent.

"This Sesshoumaru is not sweet," the taiyoukai replied playfully.

"You're willing to suffer until I'm ready to see that thing you're hiding in your pants, right?"

"I am."

"Then I was right. You're sweet. Maybe next time you can get a happy ending." She picked up her head to look at his face and laughed at his expression. It was a combination of excitement and relief that was just too funny. "You know, I've never even seen one before. I've only seen diagrams in my health book."

"You are welcome to see mine whenever you are ready," Sesshoumaru responded, his smirk widening.

"I suppose we should head back before Inuyasha comes searching for me thinking you killed me or something. He's going to want to start traveling again, like, yesterday. He is not a patient guy."

"He will wait, whether he likes it or not. It was he that suggested we 'get a room'."

"I'm tempted to stay here all night. He might have a stroke about it, but I'm just so comfortable."

"This Sesshoumaru is not averse to remaining here for the night. Perhaps I can help you sleep once again," he teased.

"You'd really want to do that again so soon?" she asked, her inexperience in all things sexual showing. She had no idea just how much Sesshoumaru had enjoyed doing what he had, or how much he desired to take it to the next level and use his tongue to make her scream to the heavens.

"You believe I could get bored with bringing you pleasure?" he asked, genuinely surprised.

"And not getting anything in return? I would think that would get old quickly."

"Never," he told her. "I would happily please you until the end of time, even if I never received anything in return. I rather enjoyed it, though next time I would do things a bit differently."

"Oh?" Kagome asked, curious about his meaning.

"Next time, I want to taste you. The tiny taste I got when I cleaned your sweet juices from my fingers was not nearly enough." The way he purred such suggestive words at her made Kagome shiver, her mind offering up just how pleasurable such a thing might be. In an instant, the miko was aroused and Sesshoumaru growled seductively at the scent of her excitement.

Suddenly, Kagome was nervous. Things were moving more quickly than she'd planned. When she decided to allow him to touch her, she hadn't really thought it all the way through. She hadn't considered that Sesshoumaru would want to do so again, especially not so soon afterwards. What if he expected things to move faster than she was ready for? He'd said he was willing to wait, but how long could a male honestly wait? How many times could he please her without expecting some kind of reciprocation?

To be honest, she thought he deserved it. After what he'd done for her, he deserved to receive the same mind-blowing pleasure she had, only she had no idea how to give it to him. She was completely inexperienced and she was afraid she would make a fool out of herself if she tried. She needed things to go slowly but a part of her ached to make him howl in climax. When she imagined it, she always made him howl rather than cry out. She wasn't sure why, but the inu side of him excited the miko a great deal and she wanted to see more of it. Really, she wanted to see more of him, period.

Could she? Could she ask him to take off his clothes so she could explore his entire body? Maybe if she did, she would feel more comfortable trying to please him. It was intimidating, knowing that he'd been with women before, demonesses that more than likely knew exactly what they were doing, while she had zero experience. She didn't want to disappoint him. She loved him! The last thing she wanted was to look like a fool. She feared that if she failed to please him that he would leave her to find someone who could. He wasn't committed to her. He said he intended to stay with her for a good long time, but that wasn't a guarantee. If she totally embarrassed herself, she wouldn't be able to blame him for finding someone else.

Sesshoumaru could sense her nervousness but was unsure of its cause. Did she not desire for him to touch her again? Had she not enjoyed herself as much as he'd thought? Or was she worried about something else.

"Kagome? Why are you so nervous?" he asked her.

Sucking up her courage, Kagome decided she was ready for the next step. "Can you... will you take off your clothes?" she asked hesitantly.

"Do you desire for me to do so?" he asked, not at all convinced by her tone and demeanor that she was ready for such a thing.

"I want... I want to see it."
