"Re...Really?" Kagome stammered, suddenly more nervous than she'd ever been in Sesshoumaru's presence. Would he really give her a massage? Would he behave himself or would he attempt to seduce her? The miko locked her eyes on the bluish green water, unable to look at the taiyoukai.

"Of course. I do not wish for you to suffer discomfort because I made you run."

"You didn't make me run. If I didn't want to, I wouldn't have," Kagome explained. She didn't like the idea of Sesshoumaru thinking he could control her. That's how most men of that era behaved and she wouldn't stand for it. She was a modern woman and she would not act as if she were owned by a man. She would not take orders and be a good little wife.

'Wait, wife?' she thought, suddenly panicking. Was she truly considering Sesshoumaru as a permanent partner? She couldn't fall into that particular pit of snakes. Sure, he might be interested in her now, but he was the Lord of the Western Lands. He couldn't take a human woman as his wife and mate. Besides, his stance on hanyou was very clear. No, whatever they might have, she had to remember that it could not be permanent. She could not fall in love with him, not matter how tempting it might be. She would only end up getting her heart stomped on when he decided it was time to move on.

Still, that didn't mean that she couldn't enjoy herself while they were together. She had no idea how long it would last, but she hoped it would be a good long time. She would just have to keep a tight rein on her emotions was all.

"Sure, you can give me a massage. Just keep your hands in respectful locations or I'll have to purify you," she said in that tone he loved.

"You truly believe you could harm this Sesshoumaru?" he asked playfully.

"Only one way to find out."

"Then clarify for me what respectful locations are," he asked, not wanting to upset her but wanting to touch as much of her body as possible.

"Hmm," Kagome hummed thoughtfully. "You can do my legs, but no higher than my skirt. You can definitely do my feet. If you want, you can do my back and shoulders. That sounds about right."

"I will do my best to behave."
