Then Birth Of The Young Dog Lord

^ Sesshomaru (Age: Unknown), Kagome (Age: 24), Kenji (Age: Week Old)

< Jaken (Age: Unknown)

^ Rin (Age:14) and Kohaku (Age:17)                                                                         

The ground had a thick layer of pure white snow, barely anything was seen outside. But it wasn't what was outside that mattered at the moment, in a mansion-like hut is where the action was happening.

"Breath and Push!" Jaken shouts

"N-No!" Kagome shouts. She was laying on a mat in the middle of giving birth. As much as she wanted the pain to go away, she wanted her husband to be there with her. "W-Where is S-Sesshom-ahhhhhhh-ru?"

"Dont you worry," Jaken assures. "I'm sure he's on his way as we speak!"

"Just give him time, mommy," Rin assures her adoptive mother. "Just relax and breath!"

Kagome held gently to Rin's hand, ever since she had married Sesshomaru, Rin considered her as a mother more then a big sister. Everytime she looked upon her daughter's face, she felt calm and at ease.

"Oh my!" Jaken yelps. "I think I see it's head!"

Kagome's screams echoed though the mansion

Thinking it was to late and he wouldn't make it to her side, she felt Rin release her hand. Confused she turns to Rin but to see Sesshomaru kneel down and take her hand gently.

"S-Sesshomaru!" Kagome's eyes teared up with joy. "Y-You made it!"

"...Like I promised..." he gives a smile.

"It's the head!" Jaken jumps. "Push human, PUSH!"

Feeling more relaxed she obeyed.

After two minutes the mansion no longer echoed Kagome's screams of pain, but the sound of a baby's cry.

Jaken wrapped the baby in a cloth before handing it to Sesshomaru, "It's a boy, my lord!"

Sesshomaru took the bundle and took his first glance at his new son.

Like him, the baby shared the same purple markings upon it's face and his honey colored eyes. He looked very much like Sesshomaru, but seemed to have go Kagome's black hair and smile. There was also something else he noticed... it was a half-demon.

"I-Is he beautiful?" Kagome lays there exhausted.

Sesshomaru look to his wife and nodds before handing her the bundle. A smile spreak upon her face as she looked at the newborn she had given life to.

"He's so adorible," Kagome cooes to the baby. "He looks very much like you, hun!"

Sesshomaru nodds with out a word

"Now for his name," Kagome smiles. "Something cute... How about Kenji? (KEN-jee) It meaning intelligent, strong, and vigorous! What do you think Sesshomaru-sama?"

He nodds, "...It suits him..."

"Hm?" she tilts her head looking at him. "Is something the matter?"

"...No..." He smiles again.

"Good heavens," Jaken exams the baby closer. "It appears to be a half demon as well!"

Sesshomaru glares at Jaken who went silent.

"He's so cute," Rin gasped with joy. "I'm now a big sister!"

Kagome smiles at Rin, "Indeed, you are Rin"

Rin leans in more to look at her little baby brother, "Hi Kenji, I'm Rin... your big sister!"

"...Your now an Onee (Oh-nay) Rin..." Sesshomaru ruffles her hair. "...That means you need to set good examples around him...!"

"Hai," Rin nodds to her adoptive father.

Very tired, Kagome drifted to sleep with the baby craddled beside her fast asleep. Rin had decided to go tell her soon-to-be Kareshi (Boyfriend) about the exciting news. Meanwhile, Sesshomaru left the room fallowed by Jaken.

"You dont seem pleased, Lord Sesshomaru?" Jaken speaks up. "Is it about your son?"

"... I was hoping he wouldn't be a half-breed..." Sesshomaru stops and looks out a window. "... He will have it rough from now on when around other Hanyou..."

"But my lord," Jaken continues. "You are famous, and he is your son... surely he wont be treated that unfairly!"

"..."

After an hour, Sesshomaru kneels by his sleeping wife and newborn, watching them both sleep soundly.
