The Sharde Princess by Kagome

The First Summer

It was the beginning of June and all Little Prince Sesshomaru wanted to do was go off and explore but his father demanded he stayed home so he could meet his betrothed future wife. Annoyed, he stood beside his father, staring at the gates...

... Finally, a carrage rode up and stopped nearby and a well groomed king exited and beamed to Sesshomaru's father.

"Old Friend," the Eastern King comes over and friendly hugs the Western King who did the same.

"I welcome you, King Kyo," Sesshomaru's father beams. "Where is this lovely daughter of yours!?"

"Don't you worry Inutaisho," King Kyo gives a chuckle and walks to the other side of the carrage. He opens the door and lifts out a little black haired girl, about 5 years old and wearing a pink gown. He walks over to Inutaisho and Sesshomaru. "This is my daughter, Princess Kagome!"

Inutaisho slowely nudges Sesshomaru towards Kagome, "Go on!"

Sesshomaru looks at Kagome and speaks through his teeth, "It's very nice to meet you, Princess Kagome..."

"The pleasure is all mine, Princes Sesshomaru," she bows and lowers her head. Sesshomaru quick turns to run back to his father but his father gave him the look.

With a gulp, he walks over and kisses Kagome's hand and retracked with a yuck! 

Her expression wasn't any better, she gave a discusted look and rubs her hand on her dress.

Sesshomaru's Inner thought: *I can't believe I'm stuck with her all summer... I'll be she doesn't wrestle, hunt or box!* 

Kagome's Inner Though: *He looks conceited*

Sesshomaru's Inner Though: *What a total bummer* 

Both's Inner thoughs: *If I get lucky I'll get chicken pox*

"So happy you could come," Sesshomaru glares at her

 Kagome responds, "So happy to be here!"

 Both's Inner Thoughs: *How I'd like to run right now*

 Kagome's Inner thoughs: *This is not my idea-*

 Sesshomaru's Inner thoughs: *This isn't my idea-*

Both's Inner thoughs: *-Of fun*

Soon both Kagome and Sesshomaru turned there backs to eachother.

Kyo and Inutaisho paid no noticed and together they left the two children and entered the palace to catch up on things.

Meanwhile, both children had there backs to eachother with their arms crossed.

After 5 minutes of silence, Kagome finally broke the silence and looks to his betrothed.

"So... um... what do you do for fun," she politely asks while rocking on her heals.

Sesshomaru rolls his eyes, "Surely nothing a PRINCESS would want to play!"

"Hey!" she puts her hands on her small hips. "I can do anything!"

"Yeah right," Sesshomaru glares at her. "I bet you can't even play swords!"

"Watch me," she stomps her foot.

Before long, both were running around the castle attacking eachother with wooden swords but not in a playful way, but as if they were serious on hurting each other.

The two kings watched with a smile.

"The children seem to get along quite nicely," Inutaisho beams.

"We'll join our lands if this arrangement kicks," Kyo beams back.

"Why King Kyo, that's my point exactly," Inutaisho turns to him.

"It's such good parenting," Kyo chuckles.

"And politics!" Inutaisho adds. "So happy we agree!"

"I think we got a deal!"

"Sesshomaru's quiet a catch!"

"This is my idea," they both reply in usion. "Of a perfect match!"

(I know it sounds corny right now, but I thought it would be a cute first chapter, LOL)
