The Final Battle by Elenna

The Final Battle

 Twas the Final Battle

Author's Note: This is a poem that should be read like you were reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas." It was created by my younger sister and I many years ago and while it is not our best work, it's still cute to go back and read.

I wanted to post this up here because I know it's getting closer to Christmas and why not make a "spoof" of a famous Christmas story? Lol. I hope you all enjoy it!

Twas the day before battle
And a cry in the night
set the gang on afoot
In search of a fight

Their fears lay awakened
By an enemy they knew
And they didn't quite know
What he planned to do

They first tried to stop him
When he tricked them with ease
To later find out
It was him they would seize

The demon then told them
A reply they all knew
That they all were too weak
And off then he flew.

They followed his scent
That a dog demon sniffed
And off then they ran
So fast and so swift

His castle laid barren
Where no one could find
Yelling in anger
The group ran behind

"Naraku you bastard!"
Inuyasha yelled out
The gang then ran faster
Their minds full of doubt

Sango then shuddered
Her heart skipped a beat
Miroku then hugged her
His comfort so sweet

Kagome then smiled
Inuyasha did too
They had to defeat him
That they all knew

To the castle they neared
The aura so grand
That many still wondered
What Naraku had planned

Kouga stood there
At the barrier ahead
To smile at Kagome
Who looked serious instead

"Now's not the time,"
Miroku then said.
Inuyasha then growled
His sword turning red

The barrier dispersed
They ran then inside
To find that Naraku
had nothing to hide

A battle among battles
The gang went through
Then out of nowhere
Came Sesshomaru

"What the hell"
Inuyasha did shout
"This is my battle too"
His brother did pout

So now all they needed
Was Kikyo to confide
To shoot as a priestess
And to fight by their side

And as if it were magic
Out of nowhere she came
The arrow did strike
Naraku's poor frame

Now together they fought
Powerful and complete
With all these friends together
Lead to Naraku's defeat

So now they are free
of doubt and/or worry
But what wish would be made
Is a whole 'nother story
