As soon as Sesshoumaru stepped through the door, a very eager Kagome greeted him.

"I'm so glad you're home on time. That gives us more time."

"More time for what?" he asked warily.

"To play in the snow before it gets dark!" she exclaimed.

"Kagome," Sesshoumaru started with a sigh.

"Aww, did you change your mind? You said you'd make snowmen with me," the miko said with a pout.

"Can I at least change?" He surrendered easily to avoid her disappointment. He had said it after all, even if it was only to not be upstaged by Inuyasha. He didn't understand how the hanyou could enjoy all of these holiday things. Perhaps he didn't, and he was also just humoring Kagome. Either way, if Inuyasha would build snowmen with her, he certainly had to as well.

"Of course! I'm not ready yet either." At that, Kagome turned and headed into the bedroom, the taiyoukai on her tail.

Sesshoumaru headed into the bathroom and stared into the mirror. 'How do I allow myself to be talked into these things?' he silently asked himself.

'I think it's rather amusing how Kagome can convince you to do anything just by batting her eyelashes. No other female has ever had that effect on you,' his beast replied in his mind.

'That is because no female has ever meant so much to me.' The taiyoukai mentally sighed. 'And of course this is the one relationship that I screwed up from the start.'

'I honestly don't think it will be a problem. She loves all of you. Your claws and fangs, your markings, your strength, and your instincts make her want you more. A few physical differences won’t mean a thing.'

'Perhaps not, but the fact that I have been hiding them from her all this time will.'

'I warned you against doing so, but then you never do listen to me.'

'Yes, you were right. Have we not already established this?' Sesshoumaru asked in annoyance. He was tired of hearing 'I told you so'. It was bad enough Inuyasha said it every time he relayed his successful progress in introducing one of the things he had been holding back

"Sesshoumaru?" Kagome called through the bathroom door while knocking. "If you really don't want to, it's fine. You don't have to hide in the bathroom."

The taiyoukai's eyes widened as he realized he had been staring at his reflection for quite some time while conversing with his beast. "I'll be out in a moment," he replied before quickly flushing the toilet and washing his hands in an effort to appear as if he were actually using the bathroom.

He opened the door and broke down laughing at the sight that greeted him. Kagome was covered in nothing but puffy, shiny pink fabric. "What in the world are you wearing?" he asked once he regained control of himself. He very rarely laughed like that, but it was unavoidable.

Kagome pouted. "What? What's wrong with my snowsuit?"

"Snowsuit? Are you five?"

The miko narrowed her eyes at her boyfriend dangerously. "Just for that, I'm not letting you help me take it off, jerk."

"My sincerest apologies," he said while failing to keep the smirk off his face.

"Sure you are," she muttered, arms folded across her chest in her patented 'I'm pissed' posture.

He quickly changed his clothes; further amused by the way his miko's eyes never left his body. Once equipped in jeans and a heavy long-sleeved shirt, he nodded. "Ready."

Kagome led him out front and stomped across the yard to the deeper area by the low fence separating their property from their neighbor's. "I'll start over here. You should go over there," she said while pointing out another snowdrift.

"I thought we were going to make a snowman together," he inquired, concerned that he seriously angered her.

"Nope. I think it'll be fun to see who can make the better snowman, you or me. Unless you're scared, that is." Kagome couldn't help but laugh at the look of challenge on his face. He was so easy to manipulate sometimes!
