*Stray Cat* (Stella's Soundtrack Challenge)

Sesshoumaru had broken down and taken yet another extended lunchtime nap. Kagome had been pushing his control so much lately that he couldn't hold out any longer. Even though there were less urges he had to control every time he introduced her to another one of his instincts and desires, maintaining the concealment spell was still exhausting. They were intimate more in the last week or two than usual, and while he loved every second of it, it left him running on fumes.

This time he had remembered to call Kagome and let her know he would be working late, and so he was surprised when he pulled into the driveway to see her sitting in the window watching for his arrival. She looked miserable, like a puppy or kitten in a shop window begging anyone to come rescue it. His heart clenched in his chest. She was sitting there like that waiting for him, all because he was a lying bastard.

The taiyoukai hurried out of the car, eager to get inside and bring her suffering and loneliness to an end. When he opened the door, however, Kagome blew past him without a word. He turned in confusion to watch as she stood in the middle of the lawn, her mouth open wide and her tongue hanging out. It took him a moment to realize that it had begun to snow, and she was attempting to catch the snowflakes on her tongue.

*Dignified* (Stella's Soundtrack Challenge)

Sesshoumaru chuckled and set his briefcase inside the door. When he turned once more, Kagome was in front of him. "It's snowing!" she exclaimed before dragging him outside to her previous location on the lawn. She resumed her snowflake catching position, and the taiyoukai rolled his eyes.

"You do realize that you look ridiculous, right?"

"Nah, you're just jealous that you can't catch snowflakes like I can."

"What? Of course I can," he replied, falling right into her trap. She knew her boyfriend couldn't back down from a challenge. Soon they were both making fools of themselves, trying to see who could catch the most snowflakes the fastest.

Kagome stopped to look at the taiyoukai. She didn’t expect it to actually work, but there was the usually dignified Sesshoumaru looking just the opposite, his mouth open to the sky, and his tongue stretched out as far as it could go. The miko broke down laughing. His tongue snapped back into his mouth as if it had been on a spring, and he shot her a glare. When he tried to head back into the house, however, she stopped him with a passionate kiss.

*To Be In Love* (Stella's Soundtrack Challenge)

"Don't be mad. You were having fun, and you know it. I really hope the snow sticks so we can play in it."

"This Sesshoumaru would not be caught dead playing in the snow like a child."

"You won’t build a snowman with me?" Kagome asked in a disappointed tone, her eyes wide, once again resembling a begging puppy. "Inuyasha always builds snowmen with me."

There it was, another challenge. If his brother went out to play in the snow with her, then he sure as hell had to. He couldn't let the hanyou upstage him. He was her boyfriend, and hoped to be more, while Inuyasha was merely her friend. He couldn't be made to look bad!

"Of course I will build a snowman with you," he forced himself to say, all the while praying the snow would stop and what had begun to stick to the blades of grass would melt away. Oh, please let it be a green Christmas! His beast snickered in his mind, loving how Kagome could get the taiyoukai to do just about anything she desired. Love was an amazing thing.

"Good, now come here." She wrapped her arms around Sesshoumaru and began to sway, dancing with the man she loved in the falling snow. She absolutely loved this time of year.
