Harvest Gold

Kagome lay among fallen leaves, gazing up at the autumn sky.  She watched puffy clouds being whisked along by winds tinged with winters chill.  It was always hard to see another year coming to a close; soon the village would be covered in a thick blanket of snow.  Kagome always found winter so lonely.  She wished she had someone to spend the longer nights with.    

Closing her eyes she  soaked up as much of the warmth the sun had to offer.  A leaf was allowed to crinkle under a careful foot step.  Opening her eyes she stared into harvest gold.
