A/N: True story: if you read a case, and want to read it well, you will likely have a myriad of colored pens to highlight differnet portions of the case.  And those colors save you when the professor cold calls and asks if you know what the "rule of this case is Ms..."

Miroku grinned as he answered.  “Friday night- starts at 10.” 

Sesshomaru made a face, shaking his head, and continuing to underline the case with his different colored pens.  He still remembered Rin’s amusement when he had asked her to purchase him some. 

“Oh come on!  What is it now?”  Sesshomaru didn’t answer for a few minutes, and Miroku waited patiently for his answer.  Only when he finished reading the case did Sesshomaru look up again. 

“I’m traveling to see my grandparents early on Saturday morning.  I need to catch the 6 am train.  Going to the party is not practical.”
