Gold Bracelets and CEO’s

Walking eagerly next to the tall silver inu, Kagome was watching Sesshomarus expression. He was looking at the vary of different stores they were walking pass. Every few minutes he would stop and glance at a show case then shake his head then continue.

She felt awkward walking beside him. He was at least 6’8 and she just barely reached over 5’5. People stared at them, or more less of her and more of him. People step aside while he walked, like he was a god. The men, they would side step and look away from him, and the women, well they were different. They kept trying to bump into him. Throw their chest into him, even take a backward glance when passing, just to check out his ass. And she, she was a nobody.

One girl even pushed her, not seeing her while trying to run herself into Sesshomaru. It reminded her that she was just an ordinary girl, with nothing special and he, well Kagome didn’t know. Thinking on it, she didn’t know anything of him other then the fact he was rich, but that was it.

Lost in her thoughts, Kagome didn’t see Sesshomaru walk into a store.

“Hey! Wait up!” she yelled from the streets. Walking in, she saw the many white marble tables with protective glass, showcasing the many jewels. She saw Sesshomaru looking at one of the show cases. Eyes dotting to one item to the next.

He must be looking for my mothers’ present.

Walking over to him, she eyed the many expensive jewels. There were real gold earrings, bracelets, and necklaces all with beautiful crafted diamonds.

A women came up to them with short black bobby hair, she wore a very nice black skirt suit with a blue strip bow that clashed with her deep brown eyes with the overly done green eyes shadow. She wore the biggest set of diamond earrings with gold rims, with it was a matching necklace. Crystal white smile that would blind anyone, she looked at Sesshomaru. Eyeing him up like he was another piece of jewelry to go on her persons.

“How can I assist you on this fine day, sir?” without looking at the sales lady, Sesshomaru turns to Kagome.

Figuring what he wanted, Kagome looked back at the showcase, glancing at all the jewelry before her.

She wanted this to be special for her mother. She has done so much for their little family, that her mother deserves the world. Kagome wanted to find the gift that was the world; one that tells how much she means to them…to her. Kagome saw a simple gold band bracelet with a small chain on the back so it could hook together. It had small little white diamonds on the edge making it look like tiny stars. It was beautiful and simple.

Kagome pointed to it, turning her head to Sesshomaru who was staring at her. Hiding the slight blush, she hid her eyes under her bangs. Still pointing to the bracelet she indicated to the one she chose. With a short nod, Sesshmoaru looked at the sales lady who instantly beamed.

“May  we see that one.”

Opening the case, the women pulled out the simple bracelet out to show him. Picking up the jewel, she slowly handed it to Sesshomaru, accidently touching his wrist. Sesshomaru held the bracelet in his hand and turned towards Kagome, so she could get a better look, “Is this the one you want?” Sesshomaru asked. Kagome eyed the bracelet in his hands. It was simple and elegant, something her mother hadn’t had for a long time. The last time her mother had received something so nice like this was before Kagomes father passed away. He gave her a lovely necklace for their anniversary. It was simple and elegant, just like the bracelet.

Looking back up she saw from the corner of her eye how the sales lady was looking at her. A disgust look was plastered on her face. The women looked Kagome up and snarled. She probably thought Kagome was a gold digger. She honestly didn’t know why the women was giving such looks and she honestly didn’t care. All she could do was shrug her shoulders and forget.

Turning back to Sesshomaru, she nod her head in a yes.

“This one please.” Sesshomaru handed the bracelet back to the sales lady who now had a smile on. She crisscrossed her arms in front of her causing her breast to squeeze and show a little.  Shaking her short booby hair head no, she smiled, “Sorry, but we ran out of those just a little awhile ago. If you like I could order it for you.”

Eyeing the women, Sesshomaru shook his head. “Then I’ll have this one.” Her shoulders went tense, “You wouldn’t want that one. It’s a showcase item.” Kagome saw how Sesshomarus eyes narrowed and his claws twitching. Placing her little hand over his, she tried to calmed him down. “Don’t worry about it. I’ll get something else another time.” Kagome smiled, she wanted to get that one, but if it was too much of a hassle then she would figure something else out. After all, he was paying for it which in turn was too much for Kagome. She never let anyone pay for anything for her.

Sesshomaru looked at her. Her warm smooth hand was still on top of his. It had soothed him. But she should have let him keep auguring. The sales lady was being impossible. He knew from her scent that she was lying about the bracelet. Also the look she had giving Kagome. The damn women even tried to caress his hand when giving the bracelet.

Kagome just shrug her shoulder when the sales lady was being disrespectful getting over it, unlike him who was getting impossibly annoyed.

The bracelet she had choose was simple and inexpensive, which he figured she knew. Any other women would have been happy to spend his money, and would chose something else that was ten times as expensive then the one Kagome pick. But any other women wouldn’t have the intentions to buy it for their mother and not for themselves, making it a pure loving act.

The smile she gave him told him all. She wanted to get out of a situation that was brewing and would mean not buying the item. Which made her sad, he could tell by her scent. He didn’t like that. Again, something he made her upset and his reaction was unorthodox of himself. It was getting tiring to sort through his emotions out for this one girl he just met.

Looking back at the bracelet then to the sales lady. He would come back for it , “I will like to put it on hold.”

Letting go of his hand, Kagome relaxed. She didn’t mind if he wanted it on hold, it wouldn’t matter anyways. She knew it would be too late and the lady would just ‘accidently’ loose their hold number. Sighing, Kagome walked away, ready to walk out of the store when something caught her eye.

Walking over to the case, there was a beautiful silver chain with a stunning light purple jewel in a crest into a frame of silver. It screamed out to her. It was simple like her, and her fingers itched to touch it.

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it.” Kagome looked up to see a young gentleman with short brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a very similar suit like the sales lady. Even the same blue bow tie. Kagome just nodded in agreement. “It would look enchanting if you wore it. It would brighten your lovely blue eyes.”

Blushing, Kagome step back and apologized and said ‘no’. she turned and dashed out of the store.

It was enchanting, but just to look at. Kagome wasn’t someone who would get invited to fancy parties with fancy tuna. It was out of her reach.

Leaning against the window of the store, she waited for Sesshomaru to come out.

After a minute he walked over to her. Straighten herself out, she looked up and smiled. Before she could say a thank you, he spoke. “Again, I apologize.” Before he could finish, Kagome was shaking her hands in front of her, “No, no, it’s fine.” Looking down for a second then looking back, “but thank you for the thought.” Her head back down, she was about to apologize for wasting his time till she saw his watch and the time. It read 13:27. She had to leave and return home. Her friend Sangos birthday party was tonight and she still had to get the cake. As if reading her mind, Sesshomaru asked, “Would you like a ride home?” shaking her head no, “No, I live around the corner, but thank you again.”

They both stood there, both not wanting to say or move.

Taking the first step, she bowed, “I would like to apologized for taking your time.”

“Do not apologize. I do not waste time.” Eyes widening, Kagome looked up at Sesshomaru. He showed no emotions on his face, he just stared at her. Who is this man?

“Have a lovely day then. Good bye.” With that, Kagome turned around heading home.

Sesshomaru watch her retreating form. With a silent whisper to the wind, Sesshomaru said good bye. “Till then Kagome.” And turned around and walked the opposite direction.

Kagome was at home sitting in front of her computer in her room. She sat there looking at the screen, hand hovering over the mouse ready to click.

When she got home, the first thing she did was type Sesshomaru’s name in. She wanted to know who and what this man was.

Now she sat there looking at the link that said “Taisho, Sesshomaru CEO of Taisho Corp.”

She should have guessed. After all, he was at that party where they first met. And he looked like someone who had money pouring out of his pockets.

Kagome took a deep breath in, and clicked. She skimmed his bio. He was the CEO and president of the Taisho Corp. he took over after his father resign. It was a company that help and sell eco products and technology. It was all invested in many historical buildings and museums. His half-brother Inuyasha was the vice president and head or marketing.

Kagome skimmed over it, finding pictures of him with different women on his arm on every picture. Looking at them, Kagomes heart clenched. “Why do I care so much? Its not like I was anything to him.” If anything, she would have been another girl on the arm, and Kagome doesn’t do that. Shes not a one night stand then drop on the curb.

Thinking too much of it, Kagome turned off her computer. Having enough she got up and walked to her bed. “might as well take a short nap before I get ready for the party.”

Closing her eyes, Kagome tried everything she could to get the CEO out of her mind.
